Work and Travel to the United States During Your Summer Break
We are representatives of WEUSA in Paraguay, a company dedicated to offering paid, temporary work programs abroad for university students.
Since 1997, we’ve been number one from the start and today we’ve run multiple seasons of Work and Travel USA, partnering with over 200 employers and sending more than 50,000 students across South America.
About the Work and Travel USA Program
Work and Travel USA is a program that allows you to work legally in the United StatesThe program runs for four months, with the option to extend to five months (plus a one‑month grace period so you can travel anywhere in the U.S.), during the winter season (December through March/April).
It’s the perfect opportunity to Immerse yourself in American culture, make friends from all over the world, and embark on an international work adventure in some of the most popular winter tourist destinations.

Requirements to Apply
- Be between 18 and 29 years old.
- Be enrolled in an in‑person university degree program.
- Have intermediate to advanced English communication skills.
- Be available to travel from November to March of the following year.
- Hold a valid Paraguayan passport.
Work Destination
Typically in tourist cities with high demand during the winter season, especially at ski resorts, hotels, and restaurants.

OCE provides you with a wide range of job offers that include the full job description and all conditions (dates, location, position, salary, hours, and benefits) for which you can apply.
Employers will interview you to assess your profile, and if you’re deemed a good fit for the position, the hiring process begins and the DS-2019 is issued. This document is essential for obtaining your visa.
Interviews are held at in-person fairs in Paraguay or virtually, depending on the company you choose to interview with.
